The Loneliness epidemic (Lockdown loneliness)
There doesn’t seem to be an opposite to loneliness. For me, if there were it would be ‘connectedness’. Even the most ‘connected’ of us are feeling lonely in lockdown. If you feel lonely you are not alone. Sometimes, I feel lonely. Nine million people in the UK were feeling lonely before lockdown. And before lockdown there was a loneliness epidemic UK and loneliness epidemic America and probably in many other countries too. Lockdown has increased the problem. Overcoming loneliness can be a challenge but you can do it. In this video I talk about how to deal with lockdown loneliness. I offer twelve steps to combat lockdown loneliness but if you decide to take action they will help during normal circumstances too.
