Doomscrolling
Doomscrolling and doomsurfing. New terms coined during Covid when we spent all our time scrolling phones and surfing the net for news. Now we are doomscrolling Ukraine and doomscrolling Russia. We need to be informed but we dont need to watch the news on a roll. It is bad for mental health. Depression and anxiety are caused by doomscrolling and doomsurfing. I am not suggesting you stop watching news but that you manage news intake to prevent news anxiety.
