I love Christmas traditions. This tradition is about the Christmas pudding. I am not sure if it is a particularly British Christmas tradition or if other countries observe it. It is a family tradition for us and also a family ritual. It is Stir up Sunday. What is stir up Sunday? It takes place approximately 5 weeks before Christmas and it is when the family gathers to make the Christmas pudding. There is a lot of lovely symbolism around the making and the ingredients of the pudding and I talk about them here. I also talk about the difference between tradition and ritual and why they are important to our happiness and wellbeing.
