WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE THE BEST VERSION OF YOURSELF?
Be the best version of yourself is something we hear all the time. Who is the best version of yourself? Do you know? I call it being FULL ON –
IN THE MOMENT when I am my best self:
I am confident, intentional, enthusiastic, employing my strengths, skills and talents, in order to help others through teaching.
YOUR BEST SELF
It will be different for you. You may be your best self when you are creating or writing – being with people – being alone – problem solving – playing a sport.
It is that time when you are in flow – when you are totally absorbed in what you are doing, when you can see your progress as you go along and then you are satisfied with your achievements.

Think of a time in your life when you feel you were at your best – a time when life was going well, when you were full of vitality, you felt confident, productive and on purpose – when you felt that everything was going well for you. Where were you? Who were you with and what were you doing?
As I said for me it would be teaching a large group – that’s when I feel ‘on purpose’.
That moment when I see a lightbulb moment happening for someone I am teaching is the most fulfilling and satisfying for me.
Now mine that experience. What about that experience made you feel good? How did it affect your behaviour? What qualities, strengths or skills were you using? Now think about how you can recreate that somehow. How can you bring those same qualities and strengths to your current way of living?
If none of the above works for you:-
Ask yourself the question – Who is my ideal self? Who do I want to be? Journal about it in detail. Then strive to be that person – act as if you are that person.
LIVING MY LIFE as the best version of me,
Means that I am living according to my personal values, using my strengths and unique talents to help others. I am challenging myself to achieve my goals and be a better person than I was yesterday – in all areas of my life. THAT IS MY IDEAL SELF
See that word, IDEAL – living my life as the best version of me is something I work towards – I don’t always make it… and that’s okay!
IT IS MY INTENTION to live that way and that is enough, it guides my actions.
Why is it important to be the best version of yourself.
Because it will inspire those around you to do the same and…
It will help you to live a meaningful and fulfilling life experiencing positive emotions most of the time
